Jesus in human form is called the Son of God and all other humans who believe and obey God are called 'the sons of God'. Jesus in His pre-incarnate form is called the bright and morning star and all the unfallen angels are called morning stars. Of Adam we read in Lk. 3:38 that he was the son of God.

BC, and the Latin Vulgate in the 4th C. AD. Other commentators represented in the Miqra'ot Gedolot likewise treat this phrase with reference to the "star of the morning", i.e., Venus.

The note in the NET Bible at 2 Peter 1:19 is helpful along these lines: The reference to the morning star constitutes a double entendre. First, the term was normally used to refer to Venus.
Dec 17, 2015 · The Hebrew phrase is "heylel ben shakar". Heylel in Hebrew means morning star, ben means son and shakar means morning or dawn. It is a title and NOT a name. It wasn't until the 3rd copy of the Textus Receptus that the word Lucifer was substituted and that by Erasmus, a Catholic monk, so it's easy to understand why the mistake there.

From the Ugaritic texts we know of Shahar, the god of “dawn” (šāḥar); his son is the “morning star” (hēlāl), giving us the mythical Helal ben Shahar. The Vg translates “morning star” as “Lucifer.”
Dec 21, 2012 · It is not a proper name but the Latin word for ‘morning star.’. The word lucifer occurs four times in the Vulgate: Isa 14:12, Job 11:17, Job 38:32, and 2 Peter 1:19. In Job 11:17, the KJV renders the Hebrew word בקר as ‘morning’: et quasi meridianus fulgor consurget tibi ad vesperam et cum te consumptum putaveris orieris ut lucifer.
