Jul 4, 2022 · Since Windows 11 is now using Video Editor for their software rather than the old Movie Maker Software that was available back in the day to make slide shows, the new app has taken away the transitions function that used to be on Movie Maker slideshow software but is no longer available on the current Video Editor software preinstalled with Win 11.

Aug 24, 2015 · I had Apple iTunes already installed. This post led me to C:/Program Files (x86)/Apple Software Update/SoftwareUpdate.exe which I was able to run and install Quicktime on Windows 10 just fine. Thanks for the pointer!
Aug 15, 2015 · I had Movie Maker working on Windows 8.1. When I upgraded to Windows 10 Movie Maker stopped accepting mp4 video files from my camera. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Movie Maker but to no avail. I then decided to revert to Windows 8.1 to get Movie Maker to work. Movie Maker did not show as installed in Window 8.1.
Sep 2, 2013 · In the past two days, I have spent over 6 hours trying to get Movie Maker to work with no success. I am using a Dell Computer model XPS L511Z with an Intel Core i5-243M CPU 2.40GHz. I have 6 GB RAM and have a 64-bit Operating system. I am attempting to run the Movie Maker product that is part of the Windows Essentials 2012 package. Please help.
