  2. Feb 12, 2015 · Snape took that map, and had a few attempts at revealing it. When he told the map to reveal itself in the name of Professor Snape, comments from the 4 creators appeared on the map. After each comment, they put their code names: Moony (Remus Lupin), Wormtail (Peter Pettigrew), Padfoot (Sirius Black), and Prongs (James Potter).

  3. Feb 11, 2017 · Fred and George gave the map to Harry because his needs were greater than theirs. When he was just closing the map (mischief managed), Newt Scamander's name was there. According to the timelines, ...

  4. Jul 27, 2017 · It is a major plot point in Goblet of Fire that the Marauder's map identifies Bartemius Crouch Jr. as simply Bartemius Crouch; therefore leading to the confusion that Bartemius Crouch (Sr.) was the person searching Snape's office. Not only does it show every classroom, every hallway, and every corner of the castle, but it also shows every inch of the grounds, as well as all the secret passages that are hidden within its walls and the location of every person in the grounds, portrayed by a dot.
