U, 9Now, 7Plus, STV, TVNZ and many others use Brightcove video playback in their back end, hence why when you select some services in DNS4ME others will be automatically turned off, as then they would conflict.

I tried the 9Now tech support but they were unable to help, finally telling me to wait for an updated app to see if that fixed the problem. I have a phone which detects the correct region, but using it on my nVidia Shield gives me Sydney news, and the same on my Sony Android tv I've hunted through the settings, but haven't found anything there.
Not exactly a solution, but as a workaround I cast from the 9Now app on my phone to the Nvidia Shield. The phone app gets the correct location (strange considering the phone and Nvidia Shield are on the same public IP). 9Now app shows wrong location. On 9Now up top is says "connect your tv" . Can this be done using your laptop? Or is it only through the app? I have the app installed and just tried to connect using my phone but nothing happen. Numbers are suppose to appear on your tv and you have to put them in to connect to 9Now. Seems it doesn't work.
Yes, the chromecast with google tv has the 9now app available. Older chromecast will be able to use the cast function from the 9now app/website. The greatest advantage of the Chromecast with Google TV is you are pretty much assured that they apps will be updated, tv software updates aren't always guaranteed. User #269898 275 posts.
Trying to watch the 9now Olympic highlights and seeing lots of short breaks which appear to be buffering.My link is a 1000/50 and not heavily loaded. Ian

I've recently delved down the path of getting a pi hole and trying to block off as many annoying ads as I can. I've run into a hurdle with the 9now android TV app, just wondering if anyone has successfully managed to block ads coming from it? Thanks for you help! User #408616 662 posts.
