October 2015 Answer . No they don't haggle. Of course you can just ask them to call you when they lower the price on a car. That's a kind of haggle. Carmax, from all I've heard, is a good place to explore and try out cars, because their inventory is large. Here's Edmunds opinion on CARMAX.

What CarMAx I had was a VERBAL contract which is binding in California as if it were in paper format. Well, they broke that contract twice. Now, for the coup-degras, CarMax says they have been paid and sent me my title and registration and license plates and I STILL have the $40,585.69.
My wife bought a 2019 Chevy equinox premier AWD with 15000 miles from CarMax. Loves it but it's making frequent knock sound, sometime seems middle, sometimes under drivers seat, a couple times seem more behind. We have until Tuesday to take it back.

Carmax was the last choice but when I looked for the nearest location to my work, I found negative reviews on Yelp and google about Carmax and numerous people recommended a company called Trade-In Solutions. Trade in solutions reviews were glorifying. That was a surprise because nowhere on your site there was any mention about this company.
