Expensive, but worth it for a learning experience. Fair enough. I got a 16 free meal coupon but honestly, HelloFresh seems kind of "money grabby." At checkout it said I only got 9 free meals, some meals cost extra, ($9 per serving is not cheap) their sides and extras, like desserts aren't cheap either.
I use hellofresh a lot less now, but the benefit of it is that you have absolutely everything you need with a set of instructions to make a meal and it takes a lot of the emotional labor, the mental burden, off of you. So it makes it easier to actually use the ingredients. Reply reply.

Feb 6, 2023 · It's owned by the same company as HF, and is marketed as the 'cheaper option'. For four meals for two people, it's about $80 with shipping included. That extra money 'left over' means that I can spring for a premium meal each week and still not hit that over $100 that we did with HF.
HelloFresh is great for people who love following cooking instructions, and they have a lot of fridge space to accommodate all of the packaging. Also, if you get easily overwhelmed with having a lot to do, this isn't for you. Cooking from scratch, doesn't only help ground you, it also helps you know exactly what you're eating. Hello Fresh is a massive drain on income, and wasteful. Plus the meals are not always simple to make. I probably save more time going to grocery store once a week, and doing basic meals throughout the week...
Feb 13, 2021 · The portions are small. Compared to Good Food, which was way way wayyyy better, it kind of sucks IMO. One of the bags was a small bag of quinoa, small box of beans, handful of coleslaw greens and a really cheap brand of coconut milk I see at walmart for under a dollar. Like the cheapest brand I've seen of coconut milk.
