Yesterday I was showing a friend around the garden (she helped me identify a few more plants ) and I discovered that the berries on the "brambles" I'd left were in fact turning red, and are in fact either raspberries or loganberries. I pulled at one of the stalks and it seems to have grown into the ground at its tip.

  7. May 7, 2022 · I know it's a Japanese Palmatum. It has a green bark, is slow growing, doesn't weep. It has finely-toothed, five-lobed green leaves with a slight orange shading on tips, turning bright orange/red in Autumn. It has no blossom. It was a gift about 8 years ago when it was a tiny plant and it is growing so well. Just curious as to what it's called ...

  8. Apr 5, 2023 · Thanks @Fairygirl that's a great point about turning them, it's the one thing I haven't done, so will start doing that. The clumped ones are doing ok, not growing as fast or as big but still fine and I guess they'll catch up. I'll be clumping the rest when I plant them into pots.
