On your computer, open Google Maps. Click Directions . Click points on the map, type an address, or add a place name. Choose your mode of transportation. To get driving directions, click Driving . To get transit directions, click Transit . To get walking directions, click Walking . To get rideshare or taxi options, click Ride .

Preview directions in Street View. Important: To get directions in Street View, enter a destination and tap Directions . On your Android phone or tablet, to get detailed directions, pull up the bottom window. If a preview is available for a step, a photo shows. To get to Street View for the step you want, tap the photo.
Share directions with others. On your computer, open Google Maps. Click Directions . Enter your desired location. Choose a route. Click Share . To share a link via email or text: Click Send a link Copy link. To share a link via social media: Click Send a link, then select the app that you want to share the link to.
On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app . Start navigation. At the top right, tap Sound . Then, choose one of the following: Mute: Tap Mute . Hear alerts: Tap Alerts . You’ll hear alerts like traffic, construction, and crashes. You won’t hear turn-by-turn directions.
Preview directions in Street View. Important: To get directions in Street View, click Directions . Then, enter starting and ending destinations. On your computer, under the route you want, click Details. To get more detailed directions, click Expand . Point to a step in the directions. If Street View is available, you get a preview photo.
On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app . Search for a destination, or tap a place on the map. At the bottom, tap Directions. At the top, tap Driving . At the bottom, tap the white bar to display: The current traffic on your route. Typical traffic by the hour and any slowdowns on the way.
Select Recent, Categories, or Saved. Select a result to start navigation. Type in a destination. Put your car in park (P). With Android Auto on your car screen, you won't be able to type in your destination until you do so. Open Google Maps or your favorite navigation app. You can select Home or Work if you have those addresses in your Contacts.
Open the Google Maps app . Search for a place or tap it on the map. In the bottom left, tap Directions. It'll show a car, bus, bike, person waving, or person walking. Learn how to add more destinations. Choose your mode of transportation. If alternate routes are available, they show in gray on the map.
On your computer, open Google Maps. Click Directions . Enter the starting point and destination for the directions that were wrong. In the left panel, click on the route you want to report an issue with. Click Details. In plain text at the bottom right of the map, click Send feedback. Next to the wrong step, click the Flag .
