Most Expensive = Metro & Sobeys / FreshCo (FreshCo is not cheap, their prices are almost identical to the other stores mentioned) Food Basic = Prices are little better, not that great. All the stores are the same, shrink selection increase the price.

Apr 2, 2021 · Food Basics has an app now that gives you certain discounts mainly on Selection brand products (from what I've seen). It also lets you get e-receipts . Makes me wonder if Metro will continue their partnership with Air Miles given that it appears they want to have a loyalty program for both their banners.

Oct 1, 2021 · A new Food Basics opened up today at 22 Poyntz Ave. This is on the second floor of the Emerald Park building near Yonge/Sheppard. They were supposed to have a grand opening this morning at 8am, but due to technical difficulties they are postponing the opening to 2pm.

Oct 10, 2024 · Another option (for those not near No Frills/Food Basics) is Foodland's $20 3-5kg turkey, you can load an offer for 500 Scene points back ($5 worth), plus upload the receipt for the 25 bonus miles. Would work out to $12.50ish for the 3-5kg turkey, not as hot as the OP offer, but beats the other store offers and Foodland tends to be in smaller towns.
