Coláiste Mhuire is a voluntary secondary school in Mullingar, Westmeath, Ireland. The school officially opened its doors to students on 20 October 1856 and is the oldest post primary school in the town. It is based partly in the Hevey Institute and elsewhere in extensions which were built in the 1970s and 2000s.
Coláiste Mhuire is an ERST school which means we aim to provide education,full personal and social development in a caring Christian environment, just as Blessed Edmund Rice Envisioned. Our school community includes over 740 students and over 60 staff members.

Coláiste Mhuire is a boys’ secondary school located in the centre of Mullingar adjacent to the imposing Cathedral of Christ the King. The school first opened its doors on the 20th of October 1856. The Hevey Institute, as it was then called, consisted of a Collegiate or Classical School and a General School.
