Malcolm in the Middle is an American television sitcom created by Linwood Boomer for Fox. The series premiered on January 9, 2000, and ended on May 14, 2006, after seven seasons consisting of 151 episodes.
Malcolm is the middle child of an average yet dysfunctional American family. On the one hand, he must coexist with his goofball brothers, Dewey and Reese. On the other hand, he must live by the rules of his eccentric parents.

Malcolm, a 9-year-old kid who enjoys skateboarding and hanging out with best friend Stevie, has his life turned upside down when he is forced into the "gifted" class and finds himself surrounded by a group of talented outcasts.

Malcolm accidentally hits a ball into grouchy old Mrs. Griffin's yard, and when he goes to retrieve it, he has a run-in with the elderly lady that accidentally makes her fall and break her arm. As punishment, he must go over to her house every day after school to help her out.
