深耕房地产
自1996年，毛大庆加入嘉德集团，历任该集团高级项目经理、首席代表、北京地区副总经理、环渤海区域总经理等职。 其间，他主持完成了上海丽晶苑、北京雅诗阁、广州至尊高尔夫球会、北京福景园等多个大型房地产项目。 2009年8月，毛大庆正式加盟万科，担任万科集团副总裁、万科北京公司总经理。
创立优客工场
2015年3月，毛大庆宣布从万科集团高级副总裁任上辞职，创办共享办公企业优客工场。 2015年12月，毛大庆发起成立共享际， 首个项目“东四·共享际”于2016年10月开业，在文化生活内容中嵌入共享办公，打造“空间+生活+社交”的活力社区。
雅诗阁时期
2002年之前，毛大庆担任雅诗阁集团的北京首席代表，并晋升为雅诗阁（北京）的工程总经理。 1996年7月至2002年1月之间，毛先生是盛捷控股有限公司的建筑师。在这期间，毛大庆负责了隶属于雅诗阁集团的上海盛捷高级服务公寓及广州至尊高尔夫俱乐部会所与别墅的设计。
凯德时期
毛大庆于2002年1月加入凯德置地（中国），担任凯德置地（中国）北京业务的副总经理。
万科时期
2009年8月，万科集团正式对外声明称：原新加坡凯德置地中国控股集团（新加坡嘉德置地集团成员）北京地区总经理毛大庆已正式加盟万科，出任万科集团副总裁兼北京万科总经理，成为北京万科第9任总经理。
