Robert Held was a ceramics artist before discovering glassblowing in the late 1960s. He started the glass program at Sheridan College, pioneering art glass in Canada. In 1978 he began his own glass studio, today known as Robert Held Art Glass & located in Parksville, BC.
Robert Held Glass Artist. In March 2013 and after 39 years, Robert Held sold off all his glass making equipment and finally closed the doors of his Vancouver based, Pine Street Studio. Bob moved to Parksville on Vancouver Island and entered into retirement.
