The Silence is a British television crime drama, first broadcast on BBC One in 2010, which follows the story of a young deaf girl who witnesses a murder. The series was broadcast between 12–15 July 2010.
S1.E1 ∙ Episode #1.1. Deaf teenager Amelia is learning to cope with her new cochlear implants and ability to hear. She moves in with her Aunt Maggie (a florist) and Uncle Jim (detective), and their teenaged children, whilst undergoing speech therapy.
