  2. Tim Smith. Back in 1986 Tim was studying electrical engineering. His life took an abrupt turn when by chance he took a pottery lessonit was love at first pot! After graduation he continued with a three year ceramics program at Sheridan College then apprenticed with Scott Barnim in Dundas ON.

  3. Timothy Smith: Potter. History. I started making pottery in 1986 while at University of Toronto studying electrical engineering, when my wife-to-be gave me a set of pottery lessons for Christmas. It was love at first pot! After graduation I returned to school at Sheridan College for a three year ceramics program.

  4. Timothy Smith has been making pots since 1986. He has owned and worked at Gleason Brook Pottery since late in 1998. He has been a member of the Artists’ Co-op since 2001. Timothy works with stoneware clay that he fires in his gas kiln at his studio in Oxenden, just outside Wiarton, Ontario.

  5. He initially worked in the pottery studio of Scott Barnim in Dundas for four years, and then opened his own studio in Wiarton. He is known for creating beautiful thrown functional ware for the table.

  7. Pottery Gallery. Production ware - The majority of my work and my inspiration is to make useful, durable objects that are beautiful to use and to look at. I fire my 24 cu ft gas-fired kiln about 40 times each year. Here you will find a some samples of what I do.
