In Chicago, the clumsy and dumb pilot of the EconoAir Rusty Griswold is a family man married with Debbie with two children, the teenager James and the boy Kevin. It is vacation time and Rusty decides to take his family to the Walley World, where he had unforgettable vacation in his childhood.
