Mar 15, 2023 · Frank Langella's Skeletor performance was Oscar worthy. Think about it, if they are now nominating garbage like Angela Bassett's Wakanda Forever performance, Langella's masterful Shakespearean villain needs a reappraisal. Oct 28, 2021 · Richard Benjamin was the go to obnoxious Upper Westside NYC Jewish guy for late 1960's into 1970's it seems. Diary of a Mad Housewife, Portony's Complaint. Marriage of a Young Stockbroker, Portnoy's Complaint, The Steagle, Goodbye, Columbus.. All variations of same sort of cocky, arrogant, self centered, but often deeply troubled Jewish guy.
Nov 8, 2014 · November 8, 2014 12:22 AM. LOVED it. Not of the same caliber, another obscure early 70s must-see NY movie is The Possession of Joel Delaney, with Shirley MacLaine and Perry King. Shot mostly on the UES and Washington Heights, it ends at Fire Island Pines in a blithering mess of camp and trash. Offsite Link.
Jul 3, 2022 · It’s still a boy’s club in Hollywood, and the boys will rally around an actor like Langella with a 60-year career behind him by making sure she never works in that town again. It’s a backlash to the Me-Too movement which has made firing any male actor for saying, looking or god forbid touching someone on set of the opposite sex instant grounds for dismissal.
Apr 14, 2022 · Frank Langella FIRED for misconduct! Sexual harassment! Sexual assault! Inappropriate touching! They better replace him with a trans woman of color! Dear God, ‘making inappropriate comments to a female co-star’ could nowadays mean he said “Good morning, what a lovely dress”. I saw him in Dracula on Broadway in 1978.
