  3. Jan 9, 2008 · So my answer is based on gut-instinct. I would say... "Wie heisst das auf Deutsch?" refers to how to say something in German. I'd translate it (freely) as "How would you say that in German?" "Was heisst das auf Deutsch?" in my opinion refers to objects, for instance, whilst pointing at a table I might ask it.

  4. Dec 24, 2014 · Kindly provide more context. Hayst is not Tagalog, not even slang Tagalog, and I do not believe it belongs to any of the other Philippine dialects. It could be a transliteration of heist, but we will require more context to know for sure.

In my region it is only used for the snail, while "Schnegge" is used in coll. regional (endearing) language for a girlfriend, but more often for a little (young) daughter, mostly for a baby.
