Ralph Truman was a British actor who appeared in films, radio and TV, including Treasure Island and Mrs Dale's Diary. He had two wives, Ellis Powell and Mimi Vittoria, and lost his brother Guy in WWI.
Ellis Powell was married to well known film actor Ralph Truman who had many roles although one memorable one for me was as George Merry in Walt Disney’s Treasure Island made at Denham Film Studios and released in 1950.
Ralph Truman portrays Monks in the 1948 film version. At the end of the film, Monks' involvement with Fagin is discovered and he is arrested. John Carson portrays Monks in the 1962 BBC serial.
