PC Points aren't what they used to be. Terrible pricing at Loblaws brand stores, shrinking options to spend on electronics at SDM and the points are deflationary. I know many value people almost value them at par with cash, but I'd take cash at back at a 30% discount to PC Points (eg. I'd rather have $70 than 100,000 points).
The card itself gives $10 for 10,000 points which is the same as 1% cash back. The card is free. AMEX cobalt is usually referred to as the best for groceries, Amazon, and gas (via grocery gift cards) as it gives 5% cash back or 8-10% back in Aeroplan points. The card costs $12 per month (first year free with promo link).
Aug 26, 2024 · I called PC financial and they said I used to have a PC mastercard from 2009 to 2012 that still shows up on my account and that's why I can't apply. They transferred me to an alleged account specialist in the Philippines who I had to explain the problem to 3 times because they didn't understand it and on the 3rd time they went silent.

So will I still get my statements billed to me cause I have balance on my mastercard. I opted for paper statements. Advertisement.

Sep 4, 2024 · Most groceries are from non PC brands as Cobalt card is my main card and the earn is 5pts/$1(PC brand family doesn't accept Amex). There is some grocery at my local rcss, shoppers and esso, but otherwise I don't really use the card outside of that. Really, I don't do anything special but somehow have accumulated that many points over 5yrs.
