Hinckley is a market town in south-west Leicestershire, England. It is administered by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council. Hinckley is the third largest settlement in the non-metropolitan county of Leicestershire, after Leicester and Loughborough. Hinckley is about halfway between Leicester and Coventry and borders Nuneaton in Warwickshire.

- Hinckley & District Museum. This town’s museum is set in the most complete half-timbered buildings in Hinckley. Dating to the 17th century, this range of cottages was home to framework knitters, and so is the perfect place to get a handle on Hinckley’s hosiery trade.
- St Mary’s Church. The oldest building in the town continues to be a fixture of daily life for many. St Mary’s Church has installed a coffee bar in the north chapel, with comfy sofas and second-hand books for sale.

Although Hinckley is a fairly dull industrial commuter hub, the surrounding lush countryside and quaint outlying villages more than make up for its lack of tourist charm. It has excellent road and rail links and is ideally positioned part way between the thriving cities of Birmingham and Leicester.
