Archbishop McNicholas High School is a coed school in the neighborhood of Mt. Washington in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. The school was opened in 1951 and named in honor of John T. McNicholas, Archbishop of Cincinnati.
The Theology Department held their annual Heritage Week, a mini course for the freshman class highlighting the history, legacy, culture and vision of McNicholas High School. Students learned about our founders the Sisters of Saint Joseph, our namesake Archbishop John T. McNicholas, and the values and mission we continue to strive toward today.
They approached Archbishop John Timothy McNicholas and requested permission for the girls’ academy to become a coeducational parochial high school. Archbishop McNicholas approved the change in March of 1950. He died a month later.
