Christ's College is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge. The college includes the Master, the Fellows of the College, and about 450 undergraduate and 250 graduate students. [7] The college was founded by William Byngham in 1437 as God's House .
Why study Medicine at Christ's? Christ’s is one of Cambridge’s larger colleges for Medicine, with a very strong teaching record in the subject. Most of our Fellows and Bye-fellows in medical subjects are practising doctors, so can share a wide variety of expertise.
Christ’s College. Christ’s students often compare the College to the Tardis: the inconspicuous vessel that transports sci-fi hero Doctor Who through time and space. It looks small on the outside, but has extensive grounds and gardens, concealing a theatre, three eateries, several libraries, a squash court, gym and swimming pool.
Location and student life. Christ’s is centrally located, with instant access to the shops and cafés of the city centre. The College's extensive gardens offer an oasis of calm amidst the hubbub, and conceal a 17th century swimming pool and (occasionally) the College cats.
This is a list of masters of Christ's College, Cambridge. The head of Christ's College is termed the "Master". Christ's grew from God's House, an institution founded in 1437 on land now occupied by King's College Chapel. It received its first royal licence in 1446.
