    Ian Bohen is an American actor who portrayed Peter Hale for five seasons of MTV’s Teen Wolf.

    Born in Carmel, California, Bohen began acting at the age of 13. He made his feature film debut at age 17 as Young Wyatt Earp in Kevin Costner’s biopic about the old west lawman.

    Throughout the 1990s, Bohen appeared in small roles on a number of popular television series including Weird Science, Walker, Texas Ranger, Doctor Quinn Medicine Woman, and Boy Meets World.

    He best known for his work on the 1990s syndicated series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys as Young Hercules for some episodes.

    In 1996, Bohen played a role in the HBO movie, If These Walls Could Talk where is acted alongside Sissy Spacek.

    In 1998, after appearing in The Legendary Journeys, Bohen took the lead in a TV movie about the young demi-god. The success of the film led to a weekly series. Bohen was reportedly offered the role full time but turned it down. The part went instead to former Musketeer Ryan Gosling who filmed 50 episodes of the series.

    Bohen may not be a household name but he is one of those rare actors who works consistently picking up small recurring roles and guest star spots on popular shows including Dawson’s Creek, JAG, Prison Break, Drop Dead Diva, and Mad Men.

    Originally, Bohen had auditioned for the role of Dr. Deaton before being casted as Peter.

    Bohen’s character was killed at the end of Season 1 of Teen Wolf and resurrected in episode 9 of Season 2.

    His character was written off after Season 4 but returned in Season 6 for which he was nominated a Saturn Award for Best Guest Role in 2017.

    Bohen returned for the 2023 film, Teen Wolf: The Movie.
