Storybook International (also known as Stories and Fables) is a British children's television series, produced for ITV by Harlech Productions, a part of HTV and written by Barry Levinson and Virginia Boston.

Premiering on 30 July 1981, this ITV series from Harlech TV consisted of traditional folk tales from all over the world – stories handed down from one generation to the next. As far as possible, episodes were filmed in the original countries with local people playing the parts they had known since childhood.
Storybook International is a British children's television series, produced for ITV by Harlech Productions, a part of HTV. The weekly, half-hour show was a collection of folk tales and fairy stories from all over the world, based on an anthology of stories for children published by Gollancz in 1981, edited by Veronica Kruger.
