Ted Arison was born in 1924, the son of Vera and Meir Arison, grandson of Moshe and Sarah Arison, who immigrated to Israel in 1882 and settled in Zamarin (Zichron Ya’akov). Ted joined the British Army in the 1940s and fought with the Jewish Brigade in Italy. He later fought in Israel’s War of Independence.
