Tom McCarthy (born 1969) is an English writer and artist. In the wake of Brexit, he gained Swedish citizenship. His debut novel, Remainder, was published in 2005. McCarthy has twice been shortlisted for the Man Booker, and was awarded the inaugural Windham-Campbell Literature Prize by Yale University in 2013. [1]
