Creating complete, connected, and culturally vibrant neighbourhoods is a key goal of the Vancouver Plan. This city-wide process is an opportunity to co-design a vision for the city we want, crafting a plan for the future of our neighbourhoods so that they better meet the needs of all residents.
The Land Use Strategy builds upon key elements of our existing city fabric. Our built environment is made up of buildings, streets, open spaces like parks and plazas, and infrastructure. These elements come together to make the recognizable neighbourhoods and precincts we find in Vancouver today.

Winter 2015– The West End (October 2014), Downtown Eastside (March 2014) and Marpole (April 2014) community planning programs are now complete and the plans approved by Council. The Grandview-Woodlands planning program is currently underway with events occurring in early 2015.
