Biography. Grandson of the wealthy industrial magnate, J. P. Morgan, John Morgan went to Yale, where he briefly played on the soccer team. He went into a career in investment banking, but still sailed frequently. mostly in ocean racing. Much of his racing has been with 1952 crew member, Eric Ridder.
