Deandre Ayton has been a complete disappointment so far in these playoffs. I catch Suns games here and there so I could never really get a beat on DA and how he plays, but after watching the Suns/Clippers series so far -- he is infuriatingly underwhelming. Constantly playing below his height when he is far and away the tallest man on the court.

Jun 15, 2021 · ADMIN MOD. How good is Deandre Ayton? The former #1 overall pick has been a really solid contributor for the Suns. However he has always been overshadowed by others in his draft class (notably Michael Porter Jr., SGA, Luka and Trae). And his 2 teammates in CP3 and Booker are widely lauded as the driving forces of the Suns success this season.
Yes he is. A disappointment is a bust. No one would want to draft a player like that number 1 overall. This sub has way too hard a time saying anyone is a bust, unless you are like Kwame Brown level. I’ve seen people talking that Markelle Fultz isn’t a bust.
Deandre Ayton is a clown, a headcase and someone who doesn't care about winning. He got his deal and now he's on cruise control. Look at his free throw rate from last year. He would rather stay up all night and play NBA 2k (I'm not kidding) than actually improve his game. He's soft and apathetic. Every time he talks he says something stupid.

Tonight's win was the 10th meeting between the Mavericks and Suns since the 2018 draft, however Ayton did not play in one of the games.
DeAndre Ayton has so much God giving ability from the neck down. He should be going around Jokic. Granted, he might not be able to prevent Jokic from scoring, there's a reason why he is a two time MVP, BUT still on scale of 1-10 Ayton is a damn near 10 on the talent scale, Jokic would be a solid 2-3. But their mentalities are so night and day.
Jun 12, 2021 · Nurkic is a great defender, stop it. Nurk is a better post defender and Ayton is better everywhere else. Jokic is missing a lot of shots due to shooting variance/fatigue. I agree with jokic missing a lot of shots now, but also, stats show Ayton is a great defender on jokic.
