YOu can find specialty undercoating places to do it for you too. Just make sure they're applying what you want. you do not want the plastic/ rubberized undercoatings or knock-off brands.

It self levels to an extent after you spray it, so the film thickness including dust coat is maybe 1/16”. I do a full undercoating in the fall using the attachments that came with this Fluid Film Gun, and than I may do one or two quick touch-ups during the winter. I don't even clean the gun because the Fluid Film does not harden.

  6. Jan 16, 2022 · InternationalTear703. • 7 mo. ago. As I understand it, Cosmoline lasts longer and doesn’t need annual treatment. That being said it does need recoating after a few years. It seals rust pretty well but it doesn’t seem to flow as well as fluid film into pinch welds.

  7. Jan 30, 2022 · I'm leaning towards Corrosion Free as I like the fact that it's drip-free, scent free and doesn't sound like it affects the rubber parts of the car as much as Krown. I also like the fact that you only have to apply every 18 months and that there was a scientific study published in which it did very well.

  8. Dec 6, 2022 · I’ve used fluid film for a couple years on my table saw. It had been exposed to moisture and WD-40 didn’t seem to penetrate/last long in preventing reoccurring oxidation. Only need to apply fluid film maybe twice a year and it does wonders, and that’s even with constant rubbing/wiping.

  10. Aug 24, 2013 · I checked the Fluid Film Undercoater Locator (www.fluidfilmundercoaters.com) and there were not many in Canada, but a lot in the states. I'm confused about the prices they charge. Some do it as cheap as $40-$50 per vehicle, and others charge $150-$200. Now I know that it takes me an hour to do a good job on a mid-size suv.
