To enhance public safety and make stadium access more efficient, the University of Oregon adopted a Clear Bag Policy. Fans may bring in one (1) clear bag no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" or a 1-gallon plastic storage bag. Fans are limited to one clear bag per person, along with a small clutch or purse for privacy. Easy to park and walk, great trail along and over the Willamette River, and beautiful stadium. Even better once you are inside. The football energy is palpable, the fans are attentive, knowledgeable and ready to be LOUD! Seriously, if noise bothers you, or you want to take kids bring ear plugs! Good food variety.
The stadium, costing approximately $3 million, and taking only 9 months to build, was creatively designed within an artificial crater, avoiding the need for multilevel ramps. The 41,000 stadium, was named for the Autzen Foundation, headed by UO alumnus Thomas Autzen, who contributed to the project.
