Hammonds Plains, a suburban area of the Halifax Regional Municipality in Nova Scotia, Canada, is located 20 km northwest of Downtown Halifax. Established in 1786 as a settlement for United Empire Loyalists, the area was named after the popular outgoing Lt. Governor Andrew Snape Hamond.
