  2. Oct 29, 2023 · Justified - Season 2. Aired: February 9, 2011 – May 4, 2011. The second season of Justified deals primarily with the criminal dealings of the Bennett clan, a family crime group that has a past with Raylan's. Unforgettable episodes include "The Life Inside," "For Blood or Money," and "Full Commitment." Memorable moments:

    • Season 6. "Justified" ends as it began. That's only sort of a spoiler, and, if you've yet to encounter Graham Yost's show before reading this article, it is also the highest possible encouragement to do so.
    • The Bennetts made Justified better. These ideals were embodied masterfully through the Bennett family, arguably the best set of antagonists Raylan ever faced down short of Boyd Crowder.
    • Season 2. Margo Martindale. That's all anyone has to say about Season 2 of "Justified," though it's worth saying more. There isn't a single creative involved in the sophomore effort of Graham Yost's show who doesn't step up to the plate and bash it out of the park.
    • Why Constable Bob embodies the best of Season 4. Patton Oswalt was another surprising casting coup for a show that dolled out many in its first three seasons.

Right out of the gate, Justified received near universal acclaim, but Season 1 did show some room for improvement. Audiences and critics alike latched onto Timothy Olyphant’s performance as Raylan Givens, a Deputy U.S. Marshal who is reassigned to his childhood stomping grounds after shooting a Miami mobster next to a hotel pool. Additionally, the ...

By Season 5, Justifiedhad the storytelling confidence to both stick with what worked and take risks. The vast majority of critics praised the show’s continued ability to balance violence and brutality with literary dialogue and a sharp sense of humor. Some, however, didn’t buy into the threat of the extended Crowe family as they moved into Kentucky...

In Season 3, Justified’s world grew with the addition of Ellstin Limehouse and Noble’s Holler, and Raylan’s troubles increased with the coming of Detroit gangster Robert Quarles. While not quite as beloved as the one that preceded it, the third season still managed to thrill almost everyone who reviewed it. Critics continued their love affair with ...

As the swan song of Justified’s original run, Season 6 saw lawman Raylan Givens attempting to bring down his enemy and one-time coal digging buddy Boyd Crowder once and for all. After the comparatively weaker fifth season, reviewers saw this season as something of a triumphant return to form. Vulture critic Matt Zoller Seitz described the dialogue ...

Season 4 saw Justified step out of its comfort zone and become something new: a mystery. Rather than simply pitting Raylan against local crime families or Detroit mobsters, this season has him, and just about everyone else in Kentucky, searching for the whereabouts of Drew Thompson, a drug runner who disappeared 30 years earlier. This roll of the d...

After such a strong debut season, critics could have forgiven Justified for sinking into a sophomore slump. Luckily, they didn’t have to. In Season 2, the series doubled down on its unmatched sense of place and Raylan’s deep, if reluctant, connection to Harlan County by forcing him to go up against the Bennetts, a local crime family. Margo Martinda...
