Jul 1, 2024 · North Bay, ON – July 1, 2024 - North Bay Canada Place, a new inclusive gathering space, was officially opened today at the City’s Waterfront. The space features an accessible pathway, a large maple leaf design in the paving stones, and two flag poles, one of which will permanently display the Nipissing First Nation flag.
North Bay has a population of approximately 52,662 (2021 Census data), and a regional trading area of 112,000, representing people within the districts of Nipissing, Parry Sound, Timmins, Temiskaming Shores, and Cobalt.
The City of North Bay, in cooperation with local community groups, have experienced considerable success in hosting a wide range of cultural events, conferences, meetings, sporting activities, and special events at various levels.
