Gannon got Kimbo in a standing guillotine and Kimbo's crew jumped in. I don't think his crew was trying to do anything nefarious but they clearly meant in their negotiations that it would be pure striking only. They didn't have the experience in fighting to know that "no ground grappling" didn't mean the same thing as "only striking"
