Despite what many young players (and their parents) may think, Roblox is actually much more than just a game, or even a gaming platform—Roblox Corporation, as it's officially titled, is a video game development company that started in 2004 and continues to grow more widespread each year. This company, like Google, Microsoft, Activision, etc., employs hundreds of people and has a corporate office where a majority of these employees work every day—yes, people actually work for Roblox...in an office building...with cubicles! Roblox's corporate office (and headquarters) is located in San Mateo, California, and can unfortunately not be visited by the general public. It can, however, be viewed virtually through the use of Google Earth, or in person from the street. This 180,000 sq. ft. building became the Roblox corporate office only recently (in March 2023), as the company was previously located in a smaller, 80,000 sq. ft. building down the street from their current location.

In the past, Roblox allowed certain selected members of the public to tour the office through field trips, sweepstakes, camp programs, etc., though that doesn't seem to happen as much anymore, if at all.
