Grant-Lee Phillips (born Bryan G. Phillips; September 1, 1963) is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He led the group Grant Lee Buffalo in the 1990s, afterwards launching a solo career.
Without Clark, Phillips took along Shiva's rhythm section, bassist Paul Kimble and drummer Joey Peters, to transform the combo into Grant Lee Buffalo, who put out four well-regarded albums of Americana music in the 1990s.
Grant Lee Buffalo was our band name and the sum total force of our efforts for most of a decade. The 1990's saw the underground uprooted and the mainstream flooded when, for one golden moment, no one seemed to be at the wheel.
