Designed by renowned Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron, the stadium opened its doors in May 2005, replacing Munich’s old Olympic Stadium as the new home for both Bayern Munich (1 Bundesliga) and TSV 1860 Munich (2 Bundesliga).
