  6. We hired a van from Kumamoto spent over 6 hours round trips. It’s worthwhile for this ride (There are other transportation arrangements to Amakusa.). We were able to enter the churches and have made pray in both places. Shimoshima is nice and quiet and so peaceful. Whether Catholics or not, it’s good to visit Amakusa/Shimoshima for touring.
