- Den Gamle By (The Old Town) Den Gamle By, or "The Old Town," is a fascinating open-air museum consisting of more than 75 historic buildings collected from across Denmark.
- ARoS Aarhus Art Museum. The ARoS Aarhus Art Museum (ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum) is one of the largest art museums in Europe. Housed in an impressive 10-story building that is itself a work of art, the museum's most remarkable architectural work of art is Your Rainbow panorama.
- Moesgård Museum. A short drive south of Aarhus is the superb Moesgård Museum, or MOMU.
