(Fresh off her stint as Wednesday Addams) Some people say it's good, some say it's bad... but honestly, I would say that... they definitely were TRYING to make something good and there's an attempt to have an emotional resonance to the film. Oct 30, 2020 · I think there's a neat movie in there hampered by it being for kids. It seemed like it wanted to be a bit darker than it was until execs got involved and had to tell the production staff "uhh this is supposed to be a kids movie" and it got toned down. It's fun. I watched it for the first time since like 1997 a few weeks ago. I kind of liked it.

More of a fantasy than actual horror, it's short at 74 minutes yet feels much longer. The lead wears the same expression for what feels like 90% of her screen time too. Found it pretty boring.
