    Heacham has historic ties to Pocahontas who married John Rolfe of Heacham on April 5, 1614 at a church in Jamestown, Virginia. The Rolfe family home, Heacham Hall, burned down in 1941.   5. No place for dogs May to September. Aug 2021. The beach is clean with a sand and shingle mix and lovely sunsets but at low tide the sea is two miles away. Dog owners beware, new restrictions on South Beach imposed this year May to September which we were not aware of as restrictions didn't exist at time of booking holiday home.
