  4. Apr 6, 2024 · Turn to Stone” was inspired by a specific performance experienced by Jeff Lynne, the lead singer of ELO. He found himself struggling with stage frights that he had never experienced before. In an attempt to get over his fears and connect with the fans, Lynne began observing the fans and their reactions to the music.
