- Ensign Pulver is a decent film. It is about the ruthless captain who is knocked overboard by a rogue wave during a tropical storm and Pulver dives over to save him. Robert Walker and Burl Ives give good performances. The screenplay is a little slow in places. Joshua Logan did an alright job directing this movie.
