In addition to returning to the director’s chair for a second time, Michael Jai White reprises his role from “Never Back Down 2” of MMA fighter Case Walker, and just like last time, the supporting cast includes at least one real-life MMA champ. This time it’s former UFC Heavyweight champion Josh Barnett as Case’s good friend, Brody James, while ren...

After “Never Back Down 2”, Case Walker makes a return to the world of professional MMA, though his proclivity to lend advice to his opponents at the end of each fight irks his manager and the promoters too much for him to make it to the top. However, his good friend and fellow MMA fighter Brody James has a match coming up in Thailand under the cont...

In his portrayal of Case Walker, Michael Jai White may very well have created a character who is truly one of a kind in martial arts films -it’s exceedingly rare to see a mentor character who is this much of an active participant in the main action of the film. Sure, we’ve seen the wise teacher who will get his hands dirty when the time calls for i...

  5. Jun 8, 2016 · Never Back Down: No Surrender is definitely a wonderful third installment of the film thanks to Michael Jai White’s performance in front and ability to prove himself as a director. While it breaks away from the tournament film, it still holds its own and that Tony Jaa cameo…definitely worth seeing. WFG RATING: A-.

  6. Jul 4, 2016 · Part 1 was a slick theatrical release, a dumb movie with the admirably ridiculous premise of combining a teen romance type of story with an underground fighting tournament. They’re supposed to be these legendary illegal pitfighters but also they go to the same high school.

  7. The plot is simple and that is fine. Jai White rules as Casey Walker. He is a former fighter is is forced out of retirement, maybe forced is the wrong word, but he comes out and has reasons to fight again. This is a very nicely paced movie that has some good acting and incredible fight sequences.
