    • Changing too many things at once. There are many disadvantages to trying to change too many variables at once. It could break your focus. Effecting simultaneous change in too many aspects of your life requires careful management.
    • One change involves other changes. Changing one habit involves other small-scale changes that you have to be aware of and prepared for. Let’s go back to the weight loss example.
    • The status quo is comfortable. Another major reason that makes change difficult is that we are not ready and willing for change. We may be comfortable where we are and even scared to step into the unknown.
    • Unclear about the benefits of change. Besides being too comfortable where we are, or being too scared to make a change, what makes change seem difficult is that we are not really convinced about how much better life will be after we make the change.
