Tickets are also available to purchase on arrival. Membership available from April 2024. Tours of the castle with archaeologist Leon Bracelin are held on the first 3 Saturdays of the month at 12 noon and 2pm. Tours are free (admission charges apply) Book your place online or ask at the ticket office on arrival.
From 1473 to 1483, Ludlow Castle was the home of Prince Edward (known as one of the ’Princes in the Tower’). He was in residence here when he learned of the death of his father, Edward IV, and assumed the title of King Edward V.
The accommodation is ideally situated for exploring the historic market town of Ludlow on foot. As well as exploring the castle, visit St Laurence’s Church and the Museum located in the Buttercross before shopping in our independent shops and the market.
