Paberžės dvaras įkurtas prieš kelis šimtmečius. Spėjama, kad rūmus vokiečių kilmės baronas Stanislovas Šilingas pastatė 1793 me. Dvarininkas buvo aktyvus 1863 m. sukilimo rėmėjas. Numalšinus sukilimą, grafas Šilingas buvo ištremtas į Sibirą, o Paberžės dvaras buvo padovanotas caro valdininkui I. Tichejevui.
