Zoey's addiction is discovered when her mother, Marcia finds a stash of pills in her backpack after a drug-induced fainting episode. Zoey is sent to drug rehab. Her first stint there gives only the appearance of success, as Zoey continues her secret behavior.
However, Zoey has a hidden personality, and she eventually uses drugs, stealing pills and money from her parents to buy weed. When Zoey meets the handsome student and drug dealer Ron (Michael Coristine), she is induced by him to shoplift to buy heavy drugs with him.

Zoey is rushed to the hospital, and then thrown into another rehab center, this time, she cant get out unless she gets better. While in rehab, Zoey befriends another woman who has taken drugs. The woman eventually leaves, and Zoey is left alone.
